Build confidence through learning
We offer tailored opportunities for autistic adults to learn, connect and grow in safe and supportive spaces. Here, you can explore new skills, share experiences and build confidence. Our goal is not just to help manage challenges, but to recognise strengths, develop abilities and support autistic adults to thrive in everyday life.
Education for autistic adults
CASS online adult education sessions are standalone learning opportunities for autistic adults aged 16 and over, including those diagnosed, seeking a diagnosis or exploring whether they may be autistic. Held fortnightly on Wednesday evenings, each one-hour session is led by experienced CASS staff, including experts by experience, combining professional insight with personal understanding.
The sessions include a short presentation followed by an open discussion where attendees can ask questions, share experiences or simply listen – participation is entirely optional, and camera or microphone use is up to you. Topics include understanding autism, sensory processing, communication, wellbeing, masking, reasonable adjustments, executive functioning and more. These sessions provide a supportive space to learn, explore personal experiences, and connect with others.
Peer mentoring groups
Small groups of autistic adults, supported by a CASS worker. Over eight sessions, you’ll set personal goals, build confidence and explore strategies for everyday challenges in a safe, supportive space. With guidance from our team, who bring both professional expertise and lived experience, you’ll have the chance to share experiences, strengthen independence and improve wellbeing. Support will usually be provided in a group setting, some individual work can be undertaken which will be determined at the point of initial triage.
Peer mentoring groups can be accessed via self-referral.
